About Jean Charles Brosseau

Paris based fashion designer Jean Charles Brosseau founded his very own perfume house at the young age of 25. His very first breakthrough perfume, which he created in 1978, was launched as the famous Ombre Rose, in New York’s distinguished department store Bergdorf Goodman. The original version of Ombre Rose contained notes of peach, Brazilian wood, aldehydes, orris root, vetiver, geranium, and many other interesting notes apart from the strong base notes of heliptrope, musk and vanilla. In 1987, Brousseau introduced the follow up of the famous Ombre Rose in the form of Fleurs d'Ombre Ombre Bleu. It was not until 2005, that Brousseau went on to hit many a shelves with his perfume creations, in quick succession.
