Twelve materials work across three stages here, an notably dense structure for a fragrance with such a simple, gem-toned name. Lime, apple, pomelo, mandarin, violet leaf and crisp galbanum crowd the top into a sharp, green citrus burst that avoids any single dominant note. Black peppercorn, heliotrope, iris, lavender and georgy wood build a powdery, slightly spiced middle that adds noticeable texture as the composition develops. Cedarwood, oakmoss, sandalwood, driftwood, musk blend and amberketal round things out dry and woody, giving Sapphire Splash Cologne more staying power than its playful name suggests. Aromatic green is the fitting classification, versatile enough for daytime errands while holding up reasonably into evening too. It suits casual outings and office settings about equally, given how balanced the citrus and wood stay against each other. Spring and early fall favor the green top most, though the mossy, woody close keeps it wearable into cooler months.
